not to be silly but it can't be put together in stock form legally. It IS a machine gun/subgun that unless a semi auto conversion kit/bolt beccomes available it can and would be an issue for club fed. You need more than just a reciever tube to make this legal. There was a semi kit out there for a bit but from what I have read they are not available now. The kit you have is legal although to put it together as is is not.

BTW your bolt is backwards in the pic and both the spring retainers go toward the back....

Furthrmore- while having a kit is legal and building some guns is legal building a machinegun/subgun is not unless alot of rules are followed and permits aquired BEFOREHAND. Machine guns are available to those who qualify but new manufactured registered legal machineguns have not been made for civilian legal sale since 1986. Dealer samples and such yes but it its a very restricted areas limited to class two manufacturers etc.

I feel that while the kit is legal the wording used is misleading at best. This is not an areas where one needs trouble! If you want to sell it just list it as a parts kit and be done with it. To infer a legal build without a full disclosure saying "YOU are responsible for compliance with local and state law compliance." is wrong !

BTW the penalties for unregistered class three items etc is now 10 years at club fed and 250,000 dollars PLUS legal fees...

if your state allows it a registered sten is about 5000.. or so now plus a 200.00 tax stamp- save 244,000 and do it legal :D

http://www.southern.trading.freehomepage.com/ No mention of semi auto recievers....
The second link I was aware of but they had been sold out for a long while- they do now list a complete conversion kit as available... they were not for a long while, I was watching because I wanted a mk II set. They seem to be sporadic in availability. Good luck!

Its not the receiver that makes it F/A, its the internal parts, ie bolt, carrier, auto sear etc. Aren't almost all parts kits semi-auto? You can't just buy a parts kit with everything you need to go full auto. If you can, please tell me where i can get everything to make an AR or AK F/A. Not to easy to come buy is it? FYI Just owning a receiver and the full auto parts is a felony, even if they are not installed and dont even work.

the kit pictured has the parts for full auto minus the reciever... And no- the majority of the kits you see ARE from full auto. The recievers and some internals can make them SA or full and the semi stuff is not always available. the illegal parts ARE easy to get that is why I have stated to look into it and make sure.Usually the one source does not carry all the parts but some are out there and have not been caught yet. I am saying be careful and look into what you do before hand. Look I am not out to argue. I have had registered class three items for over 12 years. I have built SEMI guns legally and likely will again. To walk a grey area or outright illegal one is NOT worth it! I am trying to save someone from a unintentional life ruining experience.

BTW several recievers are the parts that the atf deem innappropriate- depends on what gun you are talking about!
