Recommendation? Wusthof Ikon vs. Ikon Classic Chef Knife

Hi all.

I am curious on the difference between the Ikon and Ikon Classic. The Ikon is about $50+ more expensive. They seem to be similar outside of maybe a nicer handle on the Ikon? Is that they $50 difference? The hardness (58 Rc) and look seem the same.

Yep. African blackwood handle on the more expensive product. POM handle on the Classic Ikon.

Ikon's don't have bolsters. Same steel, different handles.

I'm trying to decide not between the Classic and the Classic Ikon, but which Classic Ikon cook's knife. The balance of the 8" lies pretty much on the first rivet behind the bolster. Can anyone tell me where the balance point is on the 9" and the 10" version?
