Guys & Gals,
I need help....I owned a copy of Bioshock for Xbox 360, I found it graphically amazing.
I found the gameplay frustrating and moved on to other games.

I've since seen it mentioned, highly in other conversation, and whilst i'm pretty sure I was too quick to dismiss it, I need direct input as to how good the game gets, through progression.

I stopped playing it shortly after coming across the first gunfight, in which I found the weapons early in the game almost ineffective.

So, looking for any input, good or bad - re : Bioshock ;)

I had the PC version and also quit playing it; being old and slow I found it too difficult to juggle all the different talents and such you can acquire, as well as the different types of ammunition for the guns....
However, the thing made many "best of the year" lists; Hell, they're even gonna make a movie about the thing.
So, different strokes....

Bioshock is the best game that I have played on the 360. Cant wait for Bioshock 2 next year.

I'm hoping age doesnt have anything to do with my inability to mesh with a game :grumpy::D

Thanks for your input...I think.

It's a fantastic game. I would definitely recommend giving it another shot. I honestly found it a little easy, but I probably have played games more than most people, so don't take that as an indication of anything.

Find the couple of weapons and talents that you like and stick to them. I didn't really have much use for more than a couple of each except in situations that required something specific. There are not really any penalties for dying other than retracing your steps, so just keep trying until you figure out a good strategy. Be sure to make use of the environment as much as possible. Electrify water, ignite oil, etc.

great game, as w any game gameplay gets easier the longer you play, head shots become natural

As an old bugger, it's one of the few of my son's games that I've played all the way through - and replayed to make some different choices. I like the mood and storyline. And as others have said - stuck to a few weapons I knew and trusted....

it is one of the harder games of late in a way, but in a playable way, not a stupid hard twich-fest kind of way. I switched around between weapons and talents a lot, but thats my style. yes the guns can be very ineffective at times, but there are always more ways to do things that one, one of the things I really liked about that game.

Once you start getting abilities like pshycic meantal powers, fire power, and freezing stuff it gets way cool. And you can't quit a game too quick.

In later stages it's only hard in that it just takes patience.

End boss is a pushover, just keep pelting him.

Graphically, it's pretty good looking, storywise, quite interesting, but not the 'uber' game that so many describe it as.
