I played hooky yesterday and drove down to Brown Co. Indiana to get a few things in order for the upcoming wedding we're having down there. Since that took a whole 5 minutes of my day, I decided I would go check out Yellow Wood State Forest and pick out a trail or two to hike, have some lunch, and take gratuitous Magua and BK10 pictures. I chose the 4.5 mile trail that circles the lake.

BK10's thread here.

Right off the bat, I saw one of the wildest trees yet. There was one similar to this in some woods near my parent's house, but it doesn't have near as many trunks.

This was also one of the trailheads for the Tecumseh Trail (one I want to through hike sometime).

Looks like fun man. I need to get out again. Tired of sitting around.

That's one of our favorite hikes! I'm actually planning on taking the girls out there today if the rain stops. I've got a thread somewhere with a lot of the same sights in it. The fireside is what I drank before bed yesterday. Quit stalking me!!

Cool thread Jerry, glad you finally got to check out Yellow wood. We like it better than the state park just because its a little more off of the beaten path and I've never seen the place crowded. Which way did you go in. We usually go in the back way through Nashville. Down the long gravel/dirt yellow wood road. That's pretty scenic in itself and there's not many roads around anymore that you have to drive through creeks. Pretty cool. The hike you went on is one of our favorites as well. Murph and I both have threads on here about it.

Beautiful photos.
And that sign I don,t like the no guns, but can live with it,
But the no Dogs is just stupid how would your pet Dog be more a Danger than the wild animals thats there.
