Has anyone tried these? Are they worth the $$$? Anything else I should consider before I buy?

Thanks.

We played around with one, it's pretty cool. Kinda looks like something that houses uranium or can fuel a space ship though.

Anyway, we filled up one with coffee and it kept it at a very warm comfortable dirking temperature for, if I remember right, 20 hours.

I want one for beer, since it's advertised as a growler. But if my beer lasts that long I have issues

No, not worth the $$$. RTIC products are just as good, nearly identical, and half the cost.

Yeah yeah, but do RTIC trucker hats and stickers plastered all over your bro-dozer and gun cases get you as much "cred" with the bros and Florida Georgia Line (or insert any shitty country pop band) fangirlz?

I am drawn to the 64 oz....or 2 x 32's. I see Hydro Flask and another (looks exactly like HF) compare to the Yeti. From all the reviews and tests the Yeti scores much higher than all others.

Stanley make a 2 quart version of their classic vacuum bottle. Quite a bit cheaper but it don't have the "koolaid" inside.

The Stanley's are $15~17 where I shop and are hard to beat. While bulky, I find them more practical than the "coffee" can size alternatives.

I have a Thermos King, but it's big enough and everything has a coffee taste.
This will be for non coffee drinks.

Exactly. Buying a name vs a product.

I have no idea what this thread is about?

Sounds like you guys are talking about buying plastic cups or something.

I ended up buying a 45 degree Latitude Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottle. Same bottle as the Hydro Flask. With my 'rewards' it was about $20 with a neoprene carry case. It doesn't rate as good as the Yeti, but reviews say ice lasted for DAYS. That should be more than I need. It is still 64 oz.
I write up a review after I get it. $20 vs. $89.... worth a try. :D

Got the 36 oz. to carry on the ATV this summer when away from the truck awhile,,, only test so far was hot water ,,, 12 hours later still hot!!,,, good enough for me!,,, have other sizes keeps ice in hot truck all day or all night!

Which of these double wall vacuum insulated bottles do not taste metallic after water has been in them a long time? Do these work with brewed tea? Do they retain flavors?

I have tried several "metal" drinkware options for hot tea and they all tasted terrible with hot tea. Many of them also have a strong metallic taste if water has been left in them for a few hours. Then there are my Snow Peak brand bottle which are super nice but, everything tastes like coffee in them.

Finally, do any of these have standard Nalgene or other popular thread sizes? I can always go with one of the big names and the big price tag but, these cheaper alternatives seem to be just as good for a lot less money.
