Yo-yo lube?

I have an old small tube of Yomega Brain Lube that I'm wondering if it'd make for a decent pivot lube like Tuf-glide or something.

The only thing it has listed is Teflon, so will it be useful or should I go out and actually get Tuf-glide/cloth?

Try it on a cheapo for a couple weeks, and if you don't see any damage, go ahead.

It is a lubricant.

You plan on using it on a knife and manual knives are not, relatively speaking, a particularly hard duty application for a lube.

Use the Yo-Yo lube. Compare it to other lubes you have tried. If you think it is actually lubing good-enough, it is good enough and you should use it.

BTW - Some special application lubes, like a Yo-Yo specific lube, actually perform well in a variety of uses. I have used Benchmade Blue Lube for door hinges, locks, etc and they are doing fine.
