I am curious to hear what blade shape you each prefer...and why. Any pictures of those blades in action would be appreciated!

BTW..I love spearpoints...my beloved Swiss is a big reason!

Haha! I absolutely LOVE the yellow Victorinox. That love comes from grandpa's habit of always carrying his trusty yellow delrin stockman.

One of the benefits of traditional multi-blade patterns is that I don't have to settle on a single blade shape. However, in a single-blade traditional I tend to like a clip blade with a pointy tip and not too much belly.

Currently it's wharncliffe and I usually say that thinking of whittling with it but I really think I just like how it looks.
I finally got a Case Seahorse after wanting one for years and it hasn't left my pocket.
I find uses for all the other blade shapes but really like the profile of a Wharnie.

clip for me, most of my traditionals have a clip blade, single clip blade usually

My grandpa loved his yellow vic classic, so much that I took his pocket worn old scales and put them on a like new one that I pair with any non sak I edc.

Now as far as favorite blade shape, clip points are definitely my favorite. It puts the tip a bit lower, but mostly I just like the way they look
I don't exactly have any sort of affection or attraction to vic's spear point blade, it just works so I use it.

For me it depends on the pattern. Some patterns just look better with a certain type of blade, while others look good with a variety of blade profiles. That said, I would say that the clip blade is generally my favorite for it's combination of aesthetics and versatility. Here's a couple of my favorites.

If I had to leave my house with just one blade it would be a clip point, but I almost always have a straight edge blade of some sort with me.
