I've always noticed that there wasn't a "Recent Acquisitions" thread in the Spyderco Sub-Forum, so I decided to create one.

To start the thread off, I'm re-posting 2 recent acquisitions of mine that didn't get much interest in the "Post Your Spyder Pics" thread where I 1st posted them.

1 of 2 knives that arrived the other day . . .

A vintage LNIB S/S Gen 1 G2 SE Harpy to pair with the vintage "like new" Gen 1 G2 FRN Merlin Clip-it (without a box) that acquired over 30 yrs ago & that was one of the 1st Spydercos that I ever purchased:

A rare vintage Gen 1 S/S SE Spyderco Police "PIG" (Pride, Integrity & Guts) variation that is very hard to find in decent condition for a "reasonable price" these days:

It is one of the best PIG's that I've ever seen for sale on the Net. Even so, I was planning to polish it to remove the scratches & other blemishes on it but, after I received it, I decided to leave it alone because it looks fine the way it is & f*cking w/it could negatively affect its value. :cool:
 
Well, I don't have any pics of it yet because it's in the mail. But I lost my Drunken a dew days ago. Still makes me sick to think about. However, BladeHQ had a decent price on theirs and I had a ton of points, so I ordered a new one!
 
I just preordered a magnacut native chief about 2 hour ago. No idea when it will be produced but I am at beach now and I am wanting a knife for fishing (bait, lines, etc. I have knives for cleaning fish already including sprig and waterway for smaller fish)

Currently giving my bugout a workout cutting shrimp and bait fish but it seems to clean up fine at the end of the day. However this seems to be a good oppurtunity to “need” another knife. 😜.

Had one of those scumbags confiscate an empty Prometheus lighter of mine. Sorry, this could blow up the plane, I was told. Ridiculous. So, I asked "Just curious, how do you guys decide who gets to take stuff like this nice lighter home?" "Sir, all confiscated items are destroyed" "I know that's false, since I see confiscated knives and tools sold on Ebay all the time, lots purchased direct from your online sales on GovDeals." "No sir, that's not true, we destroy everything". "Ok, sure thing, man."

By that time, tone was getting staticky, and a few more blueshirts were starting to be drawn in, so I just said "MAN, I SURE FEEL A LOT SAFER, THANK YOU." with a carrying voice, and walked away. I was trying to get home and wasn't getting held up or even detained over it.

Yea, they got the triple black when I was running a little late for a flight to military training and didn't have time to go back through security. I pulled $300 out a slot machine in the Vegas airport on my layover, so the pain was mostly emotional 😄
