YouTube channels

I like WeAllJuggleKnives, cutlerylover, and gideonstactical

I dislike reviewers who shove their personal religious and political BS into their vids, so not a fan of nutnfancy or ApostleP

i feel ya, cant stand nutnfancy

Knives, Guns, and Gear
good reviewer, great at finding deals and other little things most people aren't aware of

When is the last time you were on youtube? A lot of those people don't do videos anymore.
I was thinking the same thing.
The only 2 I really trust are Prepared Mind 101, Nutnfancy and gideons tactical. WeAllJuggleKnives, Cajun Blaze and Apostle P are also pretty good imo
Won't even get into nutnfancy DUDE, but something about the prepared mind guy strikes me as really odd or just annoying (maybe it's the super close face shots?). I find it hard to take the survivalist guys seriously when it comes to some gear reviews like knives or flashlights compared to what an enthusiast might know. I watched him compare some flashlights, one of them being a Fenix, and I believe he mentioned something about Fenix won't give him lights to review and kept mentioning it so I felt like I wasn't getting an honest review. I'm not a Fenix fan by the way.

Basically don't like watching knife or flashlight reviews from primarily gun guys, namely the big gun channels, because most are paid shills that don't know anything except "BADASS", "BRIGHT AS HELL", "TACTICAL", you get the picture.

I've never conversed with him before, but I feel like one of the more genuine and honest guys out there is Randy Johnson with solosknifereviews. No axes to grind, no whining about haters, and still makes fresh content.

Doing my best Nutn impersonation...

I can second Rand Johnson as well, good guy, he has done a bunch of work for me too, always a pleasure to work with.

Fire and Steel. Two Norwegian hikers that review the gear that they use. Many knife reviews, but also saws, axes, and gear.
If they like something, they tell you. If they don't like something, they tell you why and make recommendations to the manufacturer.

I don't watch any all the time, but I do often watch vids from PreparedMind101, WeAllJuggleKnives, GideonsTactical, ApostleP, KnivesTown, and Equip2Endure

MCQBushcraft

I'm all about outdoorsmanship, survivability, gear reviews, hunting, etc.

MCQBushcraft is amazing. I now follow multiple other UK prepper channels along with his. I love watching the outdoors skills stuff a lot more these days than all of the "OMG here's my EDC/GHB/BOB/INCH bag with like forty lbs of knives and other stuff I carry every day!!" There was one guy who was based on Florida who had a "GHB" video that I utterly shredded in the comments because he had like 11 means of starting a fire in case he needed to start a fire and hunker down during his 12 mile hike home from work. Like, what? You could walk 12 miles in a few hours, and it's FLORIDA. There is literally no time of the year here where you'd absolutely need a fire if you had a good coat with you. Some folks just love gear, and I get that, but it just gets old watching videos of people unpacking all this super sweet gear they've never actually used.

PreparedMind101 is pretty good, although he's brought in this woman, Jessi, something or other, and their "vibe" is really weird, especially considering he's married. Like, it's clear he's into her, which is fine, but still. The other day, he had a video up where they're reviewing a Fiddleback Forge knife, and we're treated to close up camera work of Jessi sitting on a log just carving a stick down, and the camera spent a LOT of time on the crotch of her jeans and hips. I've lost a bit of respect for him.

Agreed, he's pretty creepy.

Yes. MCQ does a great job in his videos and is about as down to Earth as a dude can get...but on the other end of the spectrum, watch AlfieAesthetics. That kid is HIGHLY intelligent and is OMFG, funny as HELL. He has me pausing his videos ALL the time cuz I burst out in a full blown belly laugh.

I watched that video and Will from Mantis Outdoors was there also. He mentioned hiring her to help him and will...so...I take that to mean Chris and Will are co-sponsoring each-other's channel or have some kind of joint-venture in their channels/hobbies. Chris is more the field tester and for the most part denies real woodscraft knowledge...Will is the woods-lore survivalist and sort-of a gear reviewer.. idk what her job is....she might just be a local who is also an enthusiast being used to get a "female perspective." No idea though, that's just a thought...

Fancy Nuts!

Actually I usually just search the knife itself, and watch whoever has what on the knife usually in comparison vids. I can look up specs and reviews are opinion, and they often reach farthings to say, or try to go to into some theory. I just basically want to see knife A against popular knife B, so I can get an idea of what it feels like if that makes sense.

There are some I will watch for a general overview, others to see some serious demonstrations . . .

. . . and Nutnfancy. :D

Some people don't like any reviews that stray from serious business, but I do find Nutnfancy to (sometimes) be entertaining, due mostly to his mannerisms. PreparedMind101 and GideonsTactical are probably the two I actually watch most often. Because I'm a "gun guy" and starting to get into camping and backpacking more and more, I tend to find myself coming back to the channels that cover those things as well as knives, which inevitably results in some prepper/survivalist types.

I learn the most from TheApostleP's channel. He usually takes knives apart before reviewing, and he is knowledge about the machining processes used to make knives.

PreparedMind101...Giving knife porn a whole new meaning.

Joe Calton has some good stuff. I like to listen to virtuvoice he like the uncle I wish I had. I find myself being drawn more to the simple get the point across with good info channels as opposed to the 10min intro, super flashy review some bull shit say nothing channel.
