Zero Tolerance 0450 ZT0450 Sinkevich Design

The original Zero Tolerance 0454 was an award-winning collaboration between ZT and custom knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich. But it was also a very Limited Edition knife.

So ZT is doing something about that with the new 0450. While based on the original’s streamlined form and high-performance function, this new and more compact version will be much more readily available. With its 3.25-inch blade and lightweight-yet-stronger-than-steel titanium handles, the 0450 has a sleek and sophisticated look that, we think, makes it a perfect EDC.

ZT built it with an S35VN stainless blade that sharpens to a razor edge, holds it well, and can be resharpened easily. The knife opens smoothly and easily with the KVT ball-bearing opening system and built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert ensures solid lock up. Polished pivot hardware just adds to the 0450's refined good looks.

I happened to see this knife on sale and this one was one of the best knife designers Dmitry Sinkevich. It is a recognized master of it and buy a knife from him practically impossible. If possible, it is expensive. ZT 0450 follows the design of the knife «Koordinal". It’s a small copy. Of course the knife is made easier, but get quality. I could not find any defects or flaws. The blade is opened and closed very easily. Here, bearings are installed in a metal cage. It is enough to handle rough treatment - very practical. There will be no visible scratches. The blade has a satin - looks good. Knife is very light. I do not feel in the hands. The clip is well sits on the pocket. It can be installed on both sides. The size of the clip - is very big(:. There are already on sale a compact and easy to clip this knife. Excellent - knife is ready to use out of the box. And it just looks cool. S35VN - good steel. Price is available to everyone. This knife is always possible to carry because of its dimensions.

For comparison, a photo ZT0450 vs F95. And a beautiful photo of the original «Koordinal».

Nice blade and pics. If/when you use the ZT, please follow up with pics and a review of usage.

Nice Shirogorov BTW, those are sexy too!

It’s a small knife, and very light. He has a good mechanic .... but after a Shirogorov knife - I could not use the ZT 450 - is made much easier): The miracle did not happen. Therefore, this knife sold in Russia.
I wanted to buy it instead Shirogorov «Neon». And now I will definitely buy «Neon» - the quality I like.
ZT 0450 - a great knife, but not for an experienced knives lover. I see that you use Shirogorov knives. I think a simple ZT0450 - not like for You.

I just got my ZT0450 in the mail last night. I have yet to cut anything aside from a few sheets of paper but my initial impression is very good. Detent is perfect, blade opens incredibly smooth and lockup is very secure. The blade was perfectly centered and very sharp out of the box and the overall fit and finish was excellent. Definitely a good addition to the collection and EDC rotation!

Love the 0450. I almost bought one, but wanted more of a megafolder, so I went with the 0452cf. That said, unless I go with a beastly 300 next, the 0450 may be my next ZT when carry requires something more subdued than a 4+" blade; )

Good choice - 0452 - it's more bigger.

Any lefties carrying 0450 out there? I'm receiving it on Monday, and am a leftie also, so would like to know experiences.

This is also my first framelock, so far have been going for mostly lockbacks, axis or similar ( I'm too cheap for a CR [emoji85])

One other thing, as it has kvt bearing, what about the maintenance? Wouldn't want to have to take it apart, just because a piece of orange gets stuck. Not sure if that's possible on this type of "washers"

The KVT bearing - amazing and fast like lightning. There should not be any problems when opening the left hand. Knife well assembled and does not require disassembly and adjustment. And very good price.

Just a quick disturbance of the topic,

Got the knife today, great fit and finish.

Tried moving the clip to the lefty side, but just doesn't fit natural, so put it back; a bit clumsy now, but still love the little one.

Flips quick like an automatic, but watch out not to press the lock while attempting to open, it will make opening much harder, if not impossible.

If I saw correct, the KVT balls inside of bearing are visible, thus the knife doesn't love much dirt.

Anyway, a fine gentlemans folder if you ask me.

Also, the blade looks a bit like a steak knife :D
