I was reading through the new ZT Catalog 2013 (REV1.indd 24) and it said their first knife appeared in 2006. Does anyone know what that knife was? 0300?

ZERO TOLERANCE KNIVES

Zero Tolerance builds the kind of premium-quality, professional knives that you can depend on every single day.

The brand made its first appearance in 2006 when Kai USA, the makers of Zero Tolerance, saw a place in the market for a made-in-the-USA line of hard-use knives that would meet the needs of professionals, such as the military, law enforcement, as well as other first responders, including fire fighters and emergency medical personnel.

The initial products were combat knives, but since that time, the line has expanded to include a variety of general-use and premium knives. Although Zero Tolerance knives are larger, heavier knives, many customers won’t have anything else as an everyday carrying knife.

Zero Tolerance incorporates the most advanced materials and technologies in a tool that has been with us from the beginning. And they’re still evolving…

Pretty sure it was the 0300 and either along with or shortly there after, the 0200. I believe the 0100 was the first fixed blade also. I need to go find a 06 catalog!

I found an article "Zero Tolerance Tactical Knives" in Tactical Response, Sep/Oct 2008:

The ZT 0100 is the first entry in KAI USA’s new Zero Tolerance line of military and police knives.

In early-2006, Zero Tolerance introduced its first tactical folders, the ZT 0200 smooth blade and the ZT 0200ST partially serrated blade. These are Ken Onion designs. In quick succession, ZT then released the 0400 and 0400ST Onion-designed, assisted-opening liner-lock folders, and then the 0301 and 0302 Strider-designed, assisted-opening, frame-lock folders. The makers introduced their 0100 Military fixed blade, their 0150 Boot knife fixed blade, and their 0121 Rescue fixed blade. By mid-2007, the ZT was completed with the 0500 manual-opening, Hawk lock folder.

Well there you go!

I don't know if the article is dead accurate or crystal clear in the timeline.

It sure sounds like the 0200 & 0200ST were the first folders. Then, it mentions that the 0400 & 0400ST followed by the 0301 and 0302. So, when did the 0300 come out? You'd think with a lower model number it'd be ahead of 0301 and 0302.

The 0100 was the first fixed blade but did it come before or after the 0200/0200ST folders?
