Zero Tolerance Model number meaning?

I been trying to find out what the model numbers mean on Zero Tolerance knives. Whats the difference between 0450 and 0560?

I don't think they mean anything. Just as a name is the name of some knives, ZT's model numbers are "names" of whatever knife they are assigned to.

Sometimes similar numbers designate similar models, or variants of the lower numbered original pattern. For instance, ZT 300 and ZT 350.

Rick's first at was the 0550. The 0560 was basically the next step just like the 0562 and 0566 were next steps after the after the 0560.

The 0454 was the first knife from sidis. If you don't know the significance of the number, I can't help you. The 0450 and 0452 are evolutions of that design in line with the rest of their naming scheme.

Generally (there are a lot of older knives that defy this) 03xx = onion
04xx = sidis
05xx = hinderer
06xx = RJ Martin
07xx = ZT in house
08xx = Rexford

Again, tons of exceptions to this rule.

The 0 at the beginning is redundant, IMO. The second number typically denotes the designer, and the last two reference the specific model.
As stated, there are many exceptions.

You are right because the 0400 isn't a sidis, 0888 is in house not rexford.

To help add to the list 0900's will be LG's, typically 0100 range are fixed blade type items. The triple digits like 0888, 0777, 0999 are in house flagships.

Also the zero on the front of the model number is there because "Zero" Tolerance.

The 0500 isn't a Hinderer, the 0392 isn't an Onion, don't think RJ designed the 0610 or the 0650...

Like I said, plenty of exceptions.
