Hey guys I am trying to get into the higher end knives recently I've always been a knife guy but never really seen the need to get a higher end EDC or just a nicer knife. Until I saw the ZT 0452 cf for some reason that knife just calls to me the design the elegance and the action are all things I'm looking for. Obviously I would like to spend as little as possible but I'm not locked into the ZT I just want a fall shut ball bearing action on a 3.75+ inch blade and obviously it has to look aesthetically pleasing to me my budget is max $200 that's why I'm not really jumping at spending $220 on the 0452 so can you guys help me out I need some recommendations I also looked at the ZT 0450 and the price looked great but I really wanted the Carbon fiber version and the cf version was $240 lol so any thoughts on that or any ideas where I could get a slightly used one for cheaper? Thanks for the help everybody.

They come up for sale on the Exchange once in a while. It's a cool knife, I like mine.

The ZT0450CF is only 180.

0450 is much smaller, and a little cramped for some. The 0452cf is perfection... Save your money and buy one :)

They are both great knives, and some of the best looking ones out there imo. They also carry well, lite weight, good steel, materials, f&f, and resale value. And like the others said the 0452cf goes for $220 and 0450cf is $180 new.
The 0452cf can have a pretty strong detent to start out with, but they always break in. Zt's warrenty is great too.

My husband absolutely loved his 0452cf, calls it his flipping-sword because lol that's what it feels like. Fantastic not-so-little knife, just as good a flipper as the 0450 but doesn't get lost in a large hand like that smaller sibling.

ZT0452CF is by far the best ZT ever made in my opinion. Its a beautiful 4" blade that lighter than most knife at the same lenght. Flip like a dream and very good ergonomic.

I just picked this up. Looks absolutely beautiful in pictures. I had pretty much decided on the 452 CF as my first ZT purchase... then I saw the Rose Gold Ti come up a few days ago. I thought the $20 premium was worth it for the significant steel upgrade, and classy looking anodized titanium.

the 0452cf is an awesome knife but its big and scary to people around you. most people have one but don't carry it at all. other carry it because they don't care what other people think when they whip a knife out. its also large in a long way. I don't carry mine but I'll probably never sell it.

watch out for fakes, they are exactly the same the only way to tell if its fake is the detent. buying from an authorized dealer or used from someone trust worthy who also bought from an authorized dealer.

Save a little more or look for one on the Exchange. Don't settle!
It is worth every penny!!
Also, check out USAmadeblade. A dealer on the forum who anodizes them at no extra charge! Scott is a gentleman and great to deal with!!
Got mine from him.

I haven't even needed to make any adjustments on mine at all and is still as perfect as when I took it out of the box.
As far as I can recollect from the hundreds of knives I own, this is an anomaly.
But after seeing this thread I just ordered the new M390 model.
I hope it has the same build quality.

452 is one of the smoothest knives i've owned, well worth the price. I would look for a used one or save a little longer for a new one, don't settle with something else.

Yeah that's what I am thinking I would rather have a knife be great in hand and good in pocket than great in pocket good in hand.

Yeah man 👍

Yeah man 👍

Beautiful knife. I hate that I missed out on that sprint run as every one I've seen for sale since is listed at 500-600 bucks.

I got in on the gold anodized G10 M390 sprint run that just released but I still would have liked to have snagged one of these......sigh.
