The guy that made these recently told me he is OK with giving walnut or other suitable wood like cocobolo a whirl.

I ordered some bastogne. It's a great wood for hard kicking rifles so I figure it will work. I'll post pics when they come in.

Newby here. With my love of Benchmade's I can read these pages for hours. Question, where's the best place to find history info on when certain models were made, trademark styles, stamping, etc? I'd like to buy some older model knives and want to know by looking at one what the date range is on it. For instance, when did the butterfly logo have antannea? When was the Balisong name used with Benchmade, etc? I've read Benchmade's website info but there's no details like I'm looking for. I know someone must have a lot of this documented somewhere. Thanks in advance!

You can find almost all of Benchmades catalogs online. I believe I've seen all but 1994 available
