CQC 7A or 7B

So I'm ready to buy my next Emerson. It's down to two. The drop point CQC 7A but it seems to be always out of stock. Or a 7B with the thunderstorm finish.

Is the 7A discontinued or just out of stock? And what imexactly is the thunderstorm finish?

I've had multiples of each (although I've never had a RH grind "B", which might reverse my opinion), and I definitely prefer the "A", especially in the original single detent thin titanium liner version.

I've always found the "A" to be a much more useful design. I'd go with that one.

CQC-7BW is my EDC, and I have lots of Emerson's to pick from. Black blade, plain edge, no mods. It just handles everything and doubles as the perfect utility knife, with the tanto chisel edge being so ridiculously easy to maintain
