Do you ever see an idea and say that should be a thing ?

Jackmandu posted a pic of 2 galley rats together and I said "Totally"

I wired a couple together and made a sheath for what I thought would be a cool knife.
Really wide and flat.
I still think it would be an awesome dagger/smatchete if it had a kind of skinny handle with a flared guard and pommel.

Well Happy accident I made a "Face/Off" sheath :)

For those unfamiliar there was a Nicholas Cage move in the 90's called Face/Off
His Character Castor Troy had a double 1911 holster that set at the small of his back.

Over the years I have had quite a few people want to carry/have me make a holster to carry a pair of 1911's or glocks like that.

Really really impractical/dangerous, and I never really actually made any.
two 1911's at the base of your spine ? what if you fell back onto concrete with that mass of metal at the base of all your L vertebra = bad times ?

Lots of folks watch movies and get inspired to do like the action heroes only to find it does not work so well.

Anyhow so I made a sheath so I could visualize what it would be like.

Turns out you can carry both Galley Rats in and pull them separately, even with one out the other stays in the sheath.

Not near as good as two separate sheaths but it still works pretty well.

Kind of cool .............at least I think so.
