Got some aogami hagane from Aldo last week, and needed to see if it was warm enough in the shop for pattern welding. This was the result-two 24 layer panels of 15n20 and 1084 on either side of a veeeery thin core of blue steel. Black canvas micarta and copper pins.
Thanks-apparently I got the heat treat right as well-never done it before, but I used it a bunch carbing the dha scabbard (and oh what an awkward woodcarving knife it is) and it still shaves.
