Folder Blade Length Limit?

It seems that virtually every tactical locking folder on the market has a blade less than four inches long (it becomes obvious when you see all the "large" versions of these knives with blades at 3.90" or 3.875"). Only Cold Steel seems willing to offer anything longer with their Vaquero series.

I can't be the only person who wants to carry a longer blade. I know about New York City's 4-inch limit, but what about the rest of the country?

Every state has their own legal limits concerning blade length/ type. They can even vary from within the different locales of that same state. For NY, the best source is to refer to its State Penal Law and the Attourney General/ District attourneys office. Remember: ignorance of the law is no excuse. So know your laws before deciding to possess/ carry.

Check out the REKAT forum, search for Sifu. It's a "mega-folder", designed with input from forum members - especially Jim March. REKAT's motto should be "out of our minds, into your hands."

CA has no length limit. The limit in Texas is 5.5 in. The Sifu is 5.45 in.
