New Bolo Pattern!

Had the urge to make a large Bolo today and I blanked out this bad boy! The blade is about 12in long. I used my old Jungle Knife handle shape as the base design and a sorta straighter JEST Bolo blade shape. I’m digging it enough I made sure to capture it with a pattern piece

Those handles work really well in use. Those are going to be Excellent

Intriguing! Is the longer butt of the handle for balance, or looks (it does look good), or ???

Both plus it leaves me some room to have a “knob” to help keep the blade in hand when swinging or trying to pull the blade out of something.

Finally got around to finishing this Bolo 18 1/2in overall of awesome!!! It’s sporting a 12 1/2in blade tip to handle and weighs in at 24oz. I used natural canvas Micarta and brass tubing for the scales. IMHO it’s quite lively in the hand. I gave it a cold blued finish.
