Does anyone know of a Filipino Knife School in the Phoenix area? This is the fifth biggest city in the country - can't believe I can't find a school. There are one or two on the Westside but they are into 95% stick. People tell you its the same but it really isn't. I've been down that road before.

Anyone know of a school or backyard training in the Phoenix/Mesa area? Thanks.

I'm away from Phoenix for a while, but I know there are a few in the area.

I wouldn't worry about learning only sticks, some people teach that first and go on to knives when you get more advanced. The basic movements are the same, so if you know how to cut things with a knife or if you get a knife video for the knife-specific details it can easily be applied to the skills you learn with a stick.

I found these links:

I've heard that Richard Van Donk has an instructor in the West Valley, and that there is also one of Jimmy Tacosa's instructors somewhere in the Valley. These instructors should be on the sites for their FMA organizations.
