Stonewashing my 0560 Lock Bar question..

After seeing Yoko's acid/stonewashed 560 I can't stop thinking about doing it to mine. But I also want to stonewash the lock bar too. I'm guessing everything will go well as long as I protect the lock face? I really don't want to ruin anything. Also, I'll cover the bearing race too.
 
Just a thick coat of clear nail polish on contact surfaces will protect them fine. Are you wanting to darken the Ti or just stonewash it?
 
I'm mostly wanting it darker, but stonewashed to match the rest. I thought about the Oxi method, but not sure how durable it is. I just stonewashed a Ti ring and it darkened it nicely at the same time.
