I thought you were mentioning the plank.....That is a spruce cone in your picture, looks like blue spruce.

The cone is from an Norwegian Spruce Pice Abies (the cone has suffered a bit, as it is a little bit older)
I live in western Europe, Luxembourg.Gotcha. The weathering made it look more like picea pungens. Where are you located? Picea Abies is widespread in Europe, and in some places I have lived here in the US it is a popular tree for landscaping.
