I used to a memory like an elephant but the operative phrase is "used to" so you could be right that Nathan may have offered what he had termed as "gray turd" aka zombie EDC.

I see that you have made your mission to corner the market on the EDC pattern and I believe in your abilities to become the numero uno CPK-EDC guy but fair warning, you will have some stiff competition from Marc and our old friend @MikeKu825 who has been AWOL in here for a very looong time. Both gents (feeling very generous toward Marc) at some point owned an impressive number of EDCs.
 
I *believe* this one was the first gray turd EDC. I landed this on a one off, fun Friday sale. If I recall it also had a swedge ground on it. Scales were from some gray-brown buckeye burl material our friend Grogimus gave me. I had that for awhile wondering what I'd do with it. When the acid wash blade came up I knew instantly they were meant for that knife!
