Post WWII very poor copy of a Japanese Tanto.
The Mei (signature) is someone's random Japanese name 小野 繁慶 (Ono Shigenobu), poorly scratched into the wrong place.
Real Japanese blades have the Mei on the tang.
The last name is Ono 小野 but the first kanji has worn away.
The construction is that of a contemporary knife, and pretty bad at that. Look at the gap at
the guard. A real Tanto would have a Habaki (molding).
