In 2019 I designed a knife and had REK make me 6 for family members and myself…I did all the filework, blade finishing and scales. REK handled the blade profile, grind and sharpening. Josh brought my vision to life.

Here are two of the original/proto Thistles…

From different owners of the original Thistle’s suggestions and some of my own, I went back to the drawing board. A few design changes were made…no sharpening choil and a little more length in the blade and handle. REK took on my project, yet again, and produced 3 museum quality Thistle prototypes for me.

They arrived today (2 of them)…

I will have specs of the new Thistle shortly and more info coming soon.

Hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoyed the time that was put into them.

Thank you all for your kind comments!

I will be back tomorrow with more info and to reply to each and every one of you.

I’m still in awe, as I am posting these photos in real time. So you all are seeing what I see, as I see it.

I’m very happy to share this journey with you all.
