Got a rare one for you all tonite
Tom Mayo’s greatest apprentice turned expert custom knife maker - Ed Cope
This was a small batch limited run of (28) R33’s
Of these ONLY TWO (2) were made in contoured blasted FULL Ti - extremely rare
Blade is a Handrubbed Satin CTS-XHP modified “Sheepscliffe” I’d call it.
Runs on glassy smooth Phosphor Bronze Washers
Perfectly centered. Just a masterfully executed hand made custom.
Extremely comfy in hand and sharp AF.
Beautifully done speed holes with micro bevel / milling around the rim.
I noticed in pics under the harshest of light there may be a faint mark by the edge of the flat.
Best (or worst) part is Cope is now retired from knifemaking. Retired in Hawaii living by his mentor Tom Mayo.
Second owner purchased from a good friend whom purchased directly from Cope.
Comes with a gorgeous Cope suede leather densely padded zipper pouch. Pics attached below.
Will ship via USPS Priority to ConUS on Saturday if deal is done by Friday night. If after Friday will then ship Tuesday (Labor day Monday).
This is probably the first and last time you will have the opportunity to buy a contoured R33 considering there are 2 and he is retired. If you are a Mayo / Cope fan, jump on it. Really a steal considering the rarity.
If it doesn’t sell here, I will be sending it to Recon1 where they sell a ton of Copes and Mayos. Obviously they will jack the price way up.
