It's a Leap Year!


The astronomical year is really about 365-1/4 days. In order to keep the calendar in sync we add an extra day every 4 years...the "Leap Year"
I think the only thing worse than having a birthday on February 29th is being born on Christmas. My birthday is in June giving me a perfect 6 month gift cycle

For February 29th I have the model 229 ULTI-MATE Ocean fillet knife. Made in Taiwan, it's a big one at over 13". New in the 2000 catalog, it ran until replaced by the Silver Creek series fillets in 2009.

I think the only thing worse that having a birthday on February 29th is being born on Christmas.

As a lid I would have hated a Feb. 29 birthday. As an adult I would love it.

Had my bride nearly convinced to be wed on 2/29 some years ago. Fell on a Friday then and was super convenient. She was game up to the time we were going to get our license. Apparently I played it a little too eagerly and she figured out what I was up to.
Yesterday would've been our 2nd wedding anniversary!! (Maybe our third...)
