Wow !
83 Years old ! 1933 to 1940 tang stamp .
Hmmm , that took me by surprise !
It is a small folding knife for sure , a true pocket knife .
It apparently still wore the factory edge ( shocker ) .
Yes I had to sharpen it ... Guided edge made reasonably shinny . ( Sharp )
There was FUBAR .. Tip and around the middle of the blade . Lets keep in mind the edge was done some 83 years ago .
I didn'y go overboard sharpening the knife , I went over the factory bevel ( 20 to 22 degree range ) .. and a fraction of Fubar remained at the tip .
I don't care , it's a old knife and will be put away for some safe storage .
Anyways , the edge rolled for a 150 fail and stropped back strong .
I don't think this knife was ever meant to be heavy duty , so a 150 roll is acceptable for slicing rope . ( especially with the easy strop back )
So there we go , some old time goodness .

wow
anything made before the 1970s were built to last
im assuming the blade steel is 440 ?

Some sort of stainless from the lack of rust .. What ever stainless pre 1940 ? ( Was it 440 )
