Our family Christmas experience was great. Three generations together on Christmas morning; kids, grandkids and us, us the grandparents . . .the house full of Hokiday music and the smells of good food cooking . . . .and a kitten to play in all the discarded wrapping paper.

Everyone got stuff they either wanted or needed. For example, I got the shirts I needed (that was magical, right?). Our granddaughter got skates and a box of cosmetics that thrilled her, but not her parents. Our grandson got a fully automatic Nerf Gun with rechargeable batteries . . .again not thrilling for his folks, but it was all good, all around, all day long.

Our son opened a little box with a set of Rosewood grips for his recently acquired, budget level1911. Along with that was a folder with matching Rosewood 1911 grips . . . he was delighted.
