I found a nice gold assisted open knife but I'm a bit unsure about the laws in PA. Based on the video of it, some force has to be applied to open it, but I think it is still spring loaded. Can someone help me figure out if I can carry/own/use this in Pennsylvania please?

Here'r The Knife As Pictured On BUDK's Website

Thanks For Any Help

PA laws are quite confusing. I attempt to explain them in detail with citations and case law, in this post from a few months ago.

Long-story short, the definition of a switchblade under PA law could easily be applied to this knife and most other assisted openers, though this is untested in the courts so far. Given the very poor quality of most knives sold by BUDK as well as this knife's tacky appearance, it would not be worth the risk if I were the one considering this purchase.

Ok, thanks

I'd say get it cause I've carried assisted knives that look pretty scary (Kershaw Lifter) and I never got crap over them so I'd go with you're probably fine though I wouldn't get that knife either way cause my friend has it and it's shit
