Axe Identification

Hi everybody!

This may be a long shot but I'm filming a student horror film, set in the late 18th century. I was hoping somebody could help me identify which axe to use.

Info: 1750s-1810s. Third generation colonists in America. Set in Georgia. Axe used for wood chopping primarily.

My guess is that students of that era were more likely to chop wood and less likely to watch horror films than average (American) students of today. Let me know if your research bears that out.
