Just thought I'd drop a thread in here, to anyone happening by, as an update to my employment status.
As of this week, I am working full time in my own shop again, making knives. I have been working 40 hours a week in a fabrication shop over the last year and a half, setting myself and my new shop up to jump back into knives better than ever. I have reached that time.

I will be resuming the production of kitchen knives on spec, and I will be selectively taking orders for all types of knives. My preference is now to make integrals, pattern welded pieces, and knives with hamons. In short, business as usual- but I won't be doing things like taking orders for monosteel hunters or making folders on spec.

Thanks for stopping in! Look for my work here, in the fixed blades sale area, on my website, on Facebook, and on Instagram.

My wife will be happy. I've bought her all kinds of handmade kitchen knives, but she refuses to use all but one .. a Salem Straub.

Glad to hear you're dropping back into the full-time groove again Salem.

Going to be a great year for you my friend. Looking forward!
