This is not rocket science but it saves a little time each time I change an attachment arm on my machine. With that out of the way here's the tip: Scribe a line on the top of the square stock just where it enters the hold down box. This way when I have to switch arms I just insert it to my scribe line and its ready to go. Same amount of tension every time. I have two lines at different points on one arm that I use with different attachments. Simple but effective.

While you are correct about scribing lines saving time, (I did the same thing) we have to remember to actually check for proper tension on the belt. The next belt we put on may be a little longer (may have stretched) and we don't want or need any surprises. I know this all sounds laime but remember: SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT.
