These are probably the last new ones I will be listing for a while. Remaining blocks in my other threads will end after the weekend. That is when I have to get back to work on our webstore. The blocks I list in the forum are always priced lower here because you guys buy so many. Thanks, Mark
I found these pieces and couldn't help cutting them up. I figured I would give the forum members first shot at them since they are such nice pieces.
The manzanita is extra dark red and has much more solid area than you normally get with manzanita.
The redwood burl is good hard stuff that I snuck from my boss's stash. Good old stuff that he had stashed for over a decade. There will be some fine hairline checks that are an easy fix with a little CA glue. Almost as hard as the 40s redwood but not quite. It will be several shades darker when you finish it.
And last, some real nice and solid buckeye burl. Nowhere near as many voids and bark pockets as you normally get with buckeye. The flash from the camera washed out a lot of the figure in the photos, especially in the white areas. Most of these blocks are well above average quality buckeye.
The photos show the blocks wiped with a damp cloth so you can get an idea how they will look finished. They look much nicer in person.
When you see some that you want, just post "I'll take #s ...." and I will mark them sold for you. That way nobody can buy them out from under you.
US shipping is $2.50 each or $10 for as many will fit in a medium flat rate box.
