Just want to share this customer commissioned bunka I made.

Steel is 3/32 Magnacut hardened to 64 HRC. Sharpened at 15 DPS.

Handle is blue stabilized boxelder burl with mammoth molar spacer and copper accents.

I haven’t made many kitchen knives but I really enjoyed this one. The food release and pass through I thought was very good.

Great looking knife and a good blade profile. I like a knife edge that is dead flat for the last 1/3 to 1/2 of the blade back to the heel, with a gradual curve up to the tip, not too much belly and the tip not too high. Yours hits that perfectly.

Thanks I based it off of a bunk a I had that was shorter so I had to play with the profile a bit.
