Can you tell me more about this Bladetech?

My dad's buddy gave this to him and he gave it to me. I am learning more about blades, etc. Can you tell me more about this interesting knife with "The Assault" on the blade and "Bladetech" and then some kind of designer's name or something. I assume the "fine print" is the blade steel.

I'm off to sharpen it up on my SharpMaker.

It came with an OD green kydex sheath designed to be used with MOLLE.

It feels great in my hand.

It is NOT FOR SALE....I'm looking simply here for information. And thank you.

Hi Centuriator,
Hopefully I can shed some light on the subject. I'm not associated with the company, but do have experience with them in the past.

Blade-Tech is the manf of the knife, and Mike Vellekamp is the designer of that specific model. Viking Tactics (Separate company), is personal/professional friends with Blade-Tech so the knife is manf by BT, designed by Mike Vellekamp in collaboration with Vikking Tactics.

Hope that helps clear it up a bit. The knife is a USA made knife, in s30v.

Thats about all the info I can confidently provide. If there are any questions, you may still be able to reach someone at the factory who might have some knowledge on the subject.
