CBSA (Canadian border services agency) cracking down on folders entering Canada

.270, F150, really we are just arguing semantics at this point.

Also really important to remember that for Canada, Import law, and Carry law are not at all related, so you can carry a lot of stuff that you can't easily import.

Several weeks ago I had a TL-29, or Electricians knife stopped at the border... apparently vintage multi-tools are now on the Prohibited/ Restricted list... stay the course comrades, the future is ever so bright.

That said, just last week I saw an oil worker openly wearing what must have been a 10" fixed blade on his belt whilst eating in a crowded restaurant, and nobody batted an eye.

In much of Canada knife restrictions of any type are non-existent, largely unknown, and/ or totally un-enforced. As well, outside a select few areas, most Canadians are NOT necessarily the of roll-over-and-die type citizens that the federal government so desperately wishes to cultivate (only recently were they made properly aware of that fact)... but the feds do control the border.

This is all to say that the lofty wet dreams of the federal government, and the actual situation throughout much of the country are two very different things.
