This knife has one new feature that will be added to all going forward:

A spur and notch arrangement that prevent the blade assembly from adopting the unwanted center of rotation of an adjacent joint upon unlocking the knife for closing. This removes unwanted tension that requires added force to overcome when closing the knife, a persistent issue that I'm glad to have resolved.
