Questions... Will this make a good user? Is this a good price?

It pretty much has all the attributes I'd like but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger.

I trust your opinions on custom bowies. That's all I needed to hear.

Agreed - I have one of Burt's "Blue Collar Hunters" - the design and execution (edge geometry) of this knife is damn near perfect (for the intended role) - I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Foster if the design and $ met my quota. I look forward to your YT vid!

side note - I know you'll probably make a CM rig for it, but Burt's leather work is on par with the top sheath makers in the game (imo). I've had several non-knife people comment on the quality of the sheath that accompanies my knife.

Burt's knives are rock solid. I have a small Damascus knife of his that has been put to use over several years and has performed flawlessly. I have no doubt his larger pieces would work just as well - I just haven't actually put any bowies or fighters to work.
