Yeah, that it a good point, some people do like the thumb push-off.

I break the edges, so they are not sharp, but I don't have a buffer yet.

The Becker Necker is cool, but by my lights, not really a neck knife. It has an abbreviated handle, so if you have a larger hand, not real comfortable. The big issue is weight, they are pretty heavy for a neck knife, to me at least.
