Recommendation? Dawson knives CPM-3V steel

My first post is a question: Does the brag about Dawson's CPM-3V "powdered steel" used in their knives live up to the fact that it can hold an edge "3x longer than D2?" What are its weaknesses? Thanks for your collective wisdom!

Probably not. Too many variables are involved to judge one steel over the other.
