Emerson Rep Now on Blade Forums

I'm interested in hearing the Rep's take on this - I've never seen a Karambit (or other EKI for that matte) with the serial number rotated like that.

I've seen a similar looking blade on the green forum. Pretty certain it's fake due to the finish and the position of the serial number.

Welcome .
I have a question on a possible counterfeit..... I was looking at this logo and it strikes me as off, the placement of serial # and the line completely printed thru/over the logo ( on everything I have it stops and starts up again at the letters) , the U.S is missing from patent number. I would like to be able to warn a friend looking at it.....if its counterfeit View attachment 440862

Do you have any more pictures? That would help immensely. Thanks.

There are more pics somewhere, as a couple of threads have popped up regarding some counterfeit Combat K's as of late. The obvious clues are the clip, v-grind, and the use of torx screws. Pretty easy to spot it as a fake.

Counterfits are done mostly in China, and the Chinese have zero scruples about knocking off anthing to make a buck. Sad part is if you license a company to manufacturer a product for you, and order say ten thousand units. You might find out that the Chinese manufacturer will over run you product, and sell it to some over run sales specialist like the ninth niece cent stores.

Many of the counterfit are so good the untrained buyer will get crap for money spent. I was at a gun show recently where a guy had maybe fifteen Microtech Auto OTF Knives, The boxes were perfect, the knives looked real, the tell was al had the same serial number.

I told the seller he was a lier, and thief, as he was representing this crap as the real deal.

welcome to blade forums!!!

any clues as to when the ZT / Emerson collab 0620 will be coming out? While I'm a huge fan of emerson designs, ive had a love hate relationship with the folders..... the 0620 is easily my most anticipated knife of this year!!

Confirmed fake.

Thank You for the confirmation ..... I looked into it more and found the guy also has the same item(and pics) on flea bay peppered in between what actually look like 1 or 2 legit Emersons glad I could show my bud your guys responses' and stop him from buying any of this frauds stuff.

Thanks again .

I saw those items on flea bay myself and have reported them. Not sure on how that site handles things but they keep popping up. If anyone sees that sort of thing please report it. Anytime you see an Emerson with torx screws it's fake. The karambits and commanders are the most common models being replicated. Thanks!

The sad thing with counterfeits, is someone intellectual properly has been stolen. If the counterfeiter did their home work, they could find out the material used in the real deal, get of their lazy A**es, and try to make a better competitive product. Than the market would decide who made the best knife with the best service behind the products.

Competition is the name of the game in business, and drive everyone to strive to be the best at everything.

China doesn't care about the details and when you go after and shut down one guy another one pops up in his place. The reason why counterfeits are so cheap is that they DON'T use the same materials. All they care about is quantity not quality.

As I was recently was at a Gun Show there were Microtech Counterfeits being offered for sale. OTF Microtechs, the Copy Cats went a far as copying the Box, Case, and Warranty Card. The tell was all the knives has the SAME Serial Numbers.

I pointed the fact out to the seller, and said these are Counterfeits arn't they. He laughed and told me to F off, and stupid people would by his FAUX, or COPIES.

$150.00 for a Counterfeits, vs $400.00 for the real deal. What do they say about too good a deal?

I'm guessing Microtech wasn't there at the show themselves? We've had to go to a booth at SHOT because someone was selling a Karambit knock off. It wasn't a replica but a different knife based on the Exact design. The guys in suits at that booth had no clue (sure they didn't) and removed it from their table immediately.

As did I ...... they will look into it and once they see a pattern they do ban these guys , but it only takes a new email address to start up again and even to take PayPal under same name ...they never stop but hopefully it causes them to lose some money somewhere . I hope the Flea lets the recent purchasers know ....but I doubt it . Thank You
