Fantastic!

I used to carry the Izula fairly often as a EDC, but find its size is great for skinning game, it's a bit too small for my personal uses.

The 3 seems to be a better size for me. I like it so much I ordered the version with the modified handle as well.

As always....your pics are great!
I had a RAT 3by Ontario, I attached the extended handles slabs that gives it little longer handle scales, made it feel really good in the hand with more grip to hold.

Got out today testing my new tarp.
First time setting it up, simple A-frame configuration.
Rain and sun coming and going... prefect tarp conditions ;)

Not sure where to post this but I had and Esee with mee so I guess it fits this topic :p

Brought the Esee 3, Fiskars X5, Opinel 12 saw and Firebox Nano to prepare lunch.
It was great fun, hope you guys enjoy the pics.

Thanks for sharing!! 🤝👍

I couldn't resist any longer, so I finally picked up an ESSE 3. But I've never been a big fan of plastic sheaths, so my plan is to eventually make a "proper" leather sheath for it some day. Not that I'm good with leather work, but I think I can make something functional, anyway. But I don't have much leather on hand, so for now, I took a small leftover scrap, and made simple leather flap that will allow me to attach the knife to my belt in traditional fashion.

The whole kit

And the completed project

The retention on the plastic sheath is quite good, and the knife is very secure. But I'll probably add a keeper strap anyway, just because I can. And maybe I'll even get out leather dye, too.

As always, Luv your outdoor knife camp pics.......Nice to be out before the lil buggas start hatching and sucking blood.....Enjoy......... nd thank you for sharing!👍

Used the Izula II to recover a couple of hog jaws from my hunting this last week....

.......that dirty hog hide is tough on an edge as is digging around a joint and levering till it lets go. Only needed a pull up the steel after each to get back to good though.
