My folks have found a pocket of the world they love in Canada – Ucluelet, BC. The Broken Island chain specifically. They are Boat people by choice. On their way back to Oregon this last year, they stopped by Foggy Mountain Forge out of their own interests - my mother welds as art and has taught various mediums for many years. Dad “fixes” things (breaks them almost as much). They asked about a forge setup on my behalf. They got some video of the smith for me.

They visited and got to talking to the head smith/property owner, he ended up making something for them and he walked them through it and some general information. What he makes is a piece of art but applicable to forge work in general I figure and that seems to be an integral part of metalwork and subsequently, axes…

I think the chainlink axe at the top of the page is the one I ended up with.

Shared just for fun/conversation. That I don’t have anyone here outside of the forum who is that interested.

The anvil is interesting for sure.

Coming up the drive:

Just thought it seemed interesting forum fodder.
