I am finding that there is a lively e-mail exchange amongst forumites, discussing the merits of certain models and asking advice. Often I can't give the requested advice since I don't have experience with the model of interest. This thread is intended to let people know what kinds of khukuris you have, in case anyone wants to ask your advice or opinion about a certain model.

Ground rules for this thread
1. - for inventory posting only, debates deserve their own thread.
2. - no questions or inquiries in this thread. You can inquire via e-mail
3. - only one post per person. If you want to update the post or add more information please use the edit function. That will keep your information all in one place and easy to find.

1. 19" (I think, I haven't measured it)Gelbu Special

I know, I know. I've only got one. But I'm proud of it.

CS LTC-the old model, got it when they did the final clearance sale for under $20.

Cheepo Indian Army Gun Show Special- currently spray painted safety orange, used for goofing around in the back yard, so chipped I could probably use it as a saw.

HI Millennium Special- Brass handled, well balanced but heavy. Demands a fair amount of hand and wrist strength, but over all fantastic knife in form and function, probably won't get the use it deserves because it is just too darn pretty!

HI 15" AK- blem, fixed with epoxy after pestering the forum for advice. Currently my planned heavy use blade. Feels amazingly light for it's weight.

Currently:

22" Shop 1 Ang Khola
Gelbu Special
cool.gif

25" Kumar Kobra

Formerly:

15" Shop 1 Ang Khola
20" Early Shop 2 Sirupati

Let’s see…my collection is pretty limited compared to some of the others, but I’ll see if I can list them in the approximate order of acquisition. I think all are BirGorkha products except where noted:
  • 15” Ang Khola (shop 1)
  • B.A.S. (shop 1)
  • 22” Ang Khola
  • Chainpuri Villager
  • CBCK Special
  • Kagas Katne
  • Ganga Ram Special
  • Millennium Special
I keep thinking that I’m missing something, but I sure can’t think of what it might be. I’ll have to check when I get home from work…
