Hey all, I have this old knife which I understand is a Model Q/C35SBK. It appears to be a promotional piece for Cairns Leather.

I'm looking to find it a new home but not sure the value of it. There aren't many comps out there to base a price off of so any help would be appreciated! Also if anyone knows the history behind it, would be cool to learn.

Thanks. Spyder1.jpeg

I'm no expert on the history of the Q. I know they made a lot of them for different customers, they sold for about $50 new and I've seen some of the less common ones fetch as much as $200 at auction. I don't recall ever seeing that particular one before.

The pattern and condition drives the price. For example the flag pattern commands a lot more than the standard. It’s 440c steel. Yours is pretty worn. My lady has had one as a purse knife for >15 years. It cleans up good with a brush and a ride through the dishwasher.
