Thanks for bringing this back into circulation .
For a long time I would study the tutorials almost daily to get ideas and technique tips .
But when they were condensed into just a single link at the top of the page I sort of forgot about them .
Your post has just reminded me and I've just spent sometime reacquainting myself with all of the excellent info hidden here .

I took your idea and combined it with a molded sheath. The clips a person can buy from Tandy have great retention and don't move when I pull the knife out which definitely takes some force.
