This knife was conceived and initiated by Eric Bajoy, Vice-President of Benchmade Knife Company, in 1990. It was a project that used only the finest materials of the time. The skeletonized handles are of a latchless design, machined from titanium bar stock. The holes are beautifully counter-sunk and the chamfers are highly polished. The pivot pins are custom made and broached with hex heads. The WeeHawk blade, optional ATS34 steel and so marked, is a thing of exquisit beauty and signed by it's maker, Jody Samson. All in all, it's everything the seller said it was and more. I've heard of Samson signed blades, seen pictures of factory latchless knives, seen the titanium handles as a $1000 option, seen the ATS34 listed as an optional steel, seen pictures of the optional steel type etched on the blade, but, I'VE NEVER SEEN ALL OF THESE THINGS ON ONE KNIFE!!! I think the pictures tell the whole story; the knife was/is for real and now it's all mine!
