Greetings,

Recently acquired this Randall Made knife and wanted to know more about it. Could be a model 18 Solingen, but I am not sure. Not sure if the blade is tarnished or has a dark finish. Possibly needs restoration? If anyone has any information, please let me know. Thank you.

I'm not super knowledgeable on the 18's.
(Others on here are and will most likely chime in soon.)

Looks to me to be a 70's era 18 with carbon blade made in Solingen.
Blade has darkened (called a patina) either from use or by forcing it,eg lemon juice,tabasco etc.
Seems to be well looked after and not abused,make a great user.

Do you have any history of the former owner?
Is it from a relative or family member and has sentimental value?

As to restoring it,restore what?
I thinks she's perfect just the way she is!

Depends what do you plan to do with the knife?
If I was to use it,just oil the blade,possibly sharpen,then use it.
If you didnt want to use it,oil the blade and put it in a shadow box.
