IKBS and KVT ball bearing systems

A question:
Why lionsteel choose to use IKBS over KVT ball bearing system?
Is there any advantage?

I believe KVT ball bearings are proprietary to Kershaw knives.

Not only Kershaw, aslo some ZT knives have KVT ball bearings.

Kershaw and ZT are owned by the parent company KAI.

IKBS is better

IKBS bearings are not caged if I remember correctly. Thus I think KVT is better. I think some IKBS ARE caged though. I don't know. All I DO know is that my CRKT Eros and Ripple had uncaged bearings.

IKBS comes in both loose and caged bearings. LionSteel uses the caged variety.

KVT for Zero Tolerance and Kershaw knives only comes in caged bearings.
